Pishtacos - Could the myth become true?

Is known that local people, specially in towns, always have some interesting stories to tell, about beliefs and traditions.

One of these stories is about "Pishtaco", it is a man or a creature usually around highlands and mountains with the only purpose of killing people eat the meat and take the human fat, in order to sell it.

But what happen when these myths start becoming real?
Some days ago peruvian police has found dead human bodies in Huanuco, and also captured 4 people involved and accused of this kind of crime.

The purpose of the murders was take he human fat and sell it to foreing countries where this human fat could be used in cosmetics, in the machines, etc.

Stolen lung from Human bodies exhibition, is it fake?

Some time ago here in Lima, Peru a very nice exhibition which belongs to an American company was showing real human cadavers, all the functions of parts and organs of human body; here the exhibition was promoted by Susan Hoefken who has being in the center of all peruvian people attention, even the president Alan Garcia showed his disgust for her after she made a public manifestation that a lung, part of the exhibition that goes around many countries, was stolen here in Peru.

Now peruvian law is in the middle of investigation, they want to know the truth about the complaint given to the police by the promoter Susn Hoefken, which says that the lung was stolen by one of the attendents of the exhibition, actually she said it was a kid and that he didn't mean to steal the lung, he was just joking and after his mother realized it she took the lung back to the exhibition and left it inside a bag on the floor of the parking place of Plaza Camacho, where the exhibition was taking place.

The fact is that the complaint given by the promoter of the exhibition could be fake, using this as a marketing intention for getting attention and sell more tickets. Lately peolple in charge of this legal issue has got facillities for some e-mails sent by Susan Hoefken and the lawyer of the American company, owner of the exhibition, in these e-mails the promoter said that the stolen lung is just "marketing issue".

Peruvian laws are very clear about this kind of crime, giving between 3 to 4 years in prision if the fault is proved.

Could bad weather affect referee's visibility? Argentina 2 - Peru 1

Peruvian team played an acceptable match against one Argentina team that didn't showed security and confidence in itself.

After 47' minutes of disputated match the scoredboard was broken by Gonzalo Higuaín, after that peruvian team encouraged and had some possibilities to score, also is considered that Ortubé, Bolivian referee, didn't see an obvious Argentinian hand on penalty area, this is left for controversy. Finally with the last breath Hernan Rengifo could score the only one goal leaving 1-1 in the 90' minute but after several rebounds in peruvian area the football went directly to Martin Palermo's foot who hasn't any problem to score with free football goal, this happened in the 93' minute.

Argentina still can think about South Africa 2010, and Diego Armando Maradona (who jump and felt over his chest to slide on the grass when Palermo scored the second goal) can also have a breath after many criticizes.

Good bye to one of the best - Contigo Perú!

Yesterday after many days of suspense being 12:58pm the doctors of Eduardo Rebagliati Hospital let know everybody the news we didn't want to hear, Arturo "zambo" Cavero died, his health wasn't very good lately and more complications were coming one by one.

It seems like one big dark cloud placed over the familiy, friends, collegues, singers of other musical genres and also people who hasn't spend so much time with him but just feel his warm heart and the great talent he possessed.

For surprise of more than one a big crowd was still giving the last good bye till very late (2:00am); this is just a sample of how much love deserve one of the best peruvian musician and singer.

He start just playing drumbs and a peruvian musical instrument called "cajón" (wood box), being very good at this and also making chorus, his voice sounds like unique and full of feeling for this style (Criolla music). Show after show he just confirm his talent and people didn't stop recognizing it, He has won many prizes and honour for his successful career.

OEA also reward Arturo Cavero, with four more peruvian singers and mucician (Augusto Polo Campos, Luis Abanto Morales, Jesús Vásquez, and Oscar Aviles), this event occured on June 3, 1987 highlighted their contibution for helping the peruvian music stablish a solid presence in South America and all around the world.

As one of his songs title "Contigo Perú" (With you Peru) now it is time we all say "Contigo Zambo Cavero" (with you Zambo Cavero), rest in peace maesto!

There are just few hours left for this match that has a special mix of feelings for both teams.

Argentina team will present a kind of new squad, this could show that Diego Maradona, the manager, feels not so confident or didn't find his perfect team yet; remembering that he hasn't received the best comments lately and considering this match means the ticket to continue on the road to South Africa 2010 World Cup or just go back home.

Although Peruvian squad has no more chances to attend South Africa World Cup, this match bring to mind some old and satisfactory memories.
