So close, but so far - hunger of history

There are just few hours left for this match that has a special mix of feelings for both teams.

Argentina team will present a kind of new squad, this could show that Diego Maradona, the manager, feels not so confident or didn't find his perfect team yet; remembering that he hasn't received the best comments lately and considering this match means the ticket to continue on the road to South Africa 2010 World Cup or just go back home.

Although Peruvian squad has no more chances to attend South Africa World Cup, this match bring to mind some old and satisfactory memories. Eleminatories for Mexico 70' World Cup played on August 30, 1969 a football match played in the most famous stadium of Argentina known as "La Bombonera", in which Peru wrote history finishing this match 2-2 getting Argentina team out of the race.

The peruvian team under the direction of Jose "Chemo" Del Solar will be formed by:

Butron (GK)
Prado (DF)
Rodriguez (DF)
Zambrano (DF)
Vílchez (DF)
Rainer Torres (MF)
Ballon (MF)
Solano (MF)
Vargas (MF)
Palacios (FW)
Fano(FW)

Argentina squad will be formed by:

Romero (GK)
Gutierrez (DF)
Schiavi (DF)
Heinze (DF)
Insua (DF)
Perez (MF)
Mascherano (MF)
Di Maria (MF)
Aimar (MF)
Messi (FW)
Higuain (FW)

Within a few hours we will know if history can be written again or not, let's go team!
